Company Profile

RKL Collective was established in Manhattan’s hip Lower East Side neighborhood in Spring 2007, where we launched award-winning restaurants and high-end residential renovations. In 2019, Founder & Creative Director Reno Lam relaunched RKL Collective in Hong Kong to better serve the fast-growing market in Asia-Pacific.

Today, RKL Collective operates as a unique boutique design studio, collaborating and bringing together top-notch industry talents to create tailor-made dream projects for our clients.

Bio

Mr. Reno Lam (IIDA)

Creative Director / Founder

Founder of RKL Collective, Reno Lam moved to New York City as a young teen. He studied at New York’s prestigious Pratt Institute—included Architecture study in Rome, Italy—before graduating in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design.

For the past 20 years, Mr. Lam has worked on countless designs, including landmark luxury hotels, resorts, and high-end residential properties. Since relocating to Hong Kong in 2009 from Manhattan, he acquired a reputation for excellence and versatility in managing hotel design projects across Asia.

Mr. Lam’s diverse experience covers many facets of commercial and residential design. His early career included an apprenticeship with pioneering Hotel Designer Chhada Siembieda and mentoring by Legendary AD 100 American Designer Samuel Botero.

Later, Mr. Lam’s career led him back to his birthplace, where he managed the Interior Design Studio at Wharf Holdings for well-known tycoon Mr. Peter Woo.
